Julie grew up in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Their household had many dogs, cats, and horses over the years, and she loved having them as part of her family. Growing up with so many animals, she always had an appreciation of the human-animal bond, and she wanted to become a veterinarian ever since she knew what a vet was. 

She attended the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, then subsequently moved to the Okanagan. Her goal with every patient visit is to do everything she can to ensure the best possible quality of life for that pet, so they can stay a happy, healthy member of their family for as long as possible. 

Julie lives with her husband and two young daughters, along with a couple of older fur babies to keep them busy. Oscar is a Pug/Cocker Spaniel mix and Sophie is a Golden Retriever/Collie mix.
